Don't Get Banned by Google Adsense Here we Have Tips

There are precautions you can take to reduce the chances of being banned but unfortunately most people don’t do this and then it’s too late.

1. Constantly check your stats and look for anything suspicious. If you suddenly notice that your CTR (Click through ratio) has gone through the roof then it may be a good idea to temporarily remove your ads from your website. You could be being clickbombed by a competitor or by some random idiot.
2. Install Google Analytics to track traffic. It’s also a good idea to install AddFreeStats. This will track the IP addresses of people clicking your Google Ads. If you see suspicious clicks then you can ban the user’s IP address in your server firewall.
3. Never incentivise or encourage your visitors to click on your ads (E.g. Please help towards server costs by click on our ads!). This is guaranteed to get your account banned.
4. Do not use link ads to mimic a navigation menu. This will almost certainly draw attention to your account.
5. Do not cover your website with ads. You are allowed up to 3 adverts per page. Do not go over this as this will breach the terms and conditions.
6. Do not have adverts too close to links. This will generate accidental clicks. Your stats and earnings may look good but invalid clicks is the most common reason for a ban.
7. Do not buy traffic or use a traffic generation/autosurf service. These services often use bots which Google are aware of. These bots will click on your ads and again, generate invalid clicks.
8. Only use organic means of generating traffic such as Twitter, Facebook and other social media and social bookmarking websites.
9. Do not display other PPC network ads on the same page as they may display content which is against the Adsense TOS. (E.g. Adult, gambling content etc).
10. Do not tell your friends and family that you generate revenue from showing ads on your site. They may think that they are being helpful by click on your ads every day to earn you more cash. Google will spot this very easily.
11. Do not click on your own adverts. This may be the most obvious tip but people still do this to “test” if clicks are being registered. Adsense stats are not realtime and clicks and earnings will not be reported instantly.
12. Do not enter into agreements with other webmasters where you click on each other’s adverts. These click patterns will be noticed by Google.
13. Do not display ads on websites that contain any of the following content: Gambling, violence or hate, hacking, cracking, bittorrent, software serials, adult content, sales of weapons, drugs or tobacco.
14. Make sure your website has a privacy policy which mentions the use of Adsense, this is required by the Adsense TOS.
15. Do not display ads on empty pages or pages with very little content.
16. Do not use proxy websites or any other means of changing your IP address to click on your own ads.
17. Do not use popups, popunders or anything that can reduce the quality of your website. Also make sure you pages are neat and tidy with easy to use navigation.
18. Do not copy or plagiarise content from any other websites. Be sure that your content is original.
19. Do not alter the Adsense code.
20. Never disclose your earnings or stats publically.
21. Do not hide ads by making them the same colour as your background. You are still paid for page impressions.
22. Do not spam other websites or display ads in emails or popups. Spamming forums etc may provoke clickbombing from forum members.
23. Do not use multiple domains for the same content.
24. Do not publish copyrighted material. This includes text and images.
25. Do not open more than 1 Adsense account.
26. Never display adverts is a way where they can be confused for your own content. Always leave spaces around your adverts to avoid accidental clicks.
27. Make sure you are familiar with the Adsense TOS and check back periodically to look for changes which may affect you.
28. Do not use “doorway” pages which are only made for SEO purposes. This will weaken the credibility of your website.
29. Never display ads in floating boxes or anything that can overlap your content.
30. Most importantly… Do not solely rely on Google Adsense revenue. Have a backup plan. You could be relying on your revenue to cover your mortgage payments for example. A ban could put your home at risk.
